Compaytence × Checkout Champ

Your storefront checkout is capping your revenue

Checkout Champ replaces the buying step, not the store. Your catalog stays on Shopify or WooCommerce; the order moves onto pages built to convert and route across every processor you hold.

Opens Checkout Champ onboarding with Compaytence attached, so our team can see your setup and handle the payment side.

The gap

A store built for browsing is not a store built for buying

Paid traffic arrives ready to purchase, then lands on pages designed to be explored: menus, brand story, related products. Checkout Champ's own figure for what that costs is the difference between a storefront's conversion rate and a purpose-built funnel page.

Standard storefront 2–3%
Funnel landing pages 20–30%

What it is

It bolts on. It does not replatform you.

Your catalog, brand, content and design assets stay on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento. Only the buying step moves. That matters commercially more than it sounds: rolling back is a configuration change, not a second migration.

Underneath sits the Konnektive engine. Founder Matt Martorano built Konnektive as an order-management CRM for his own direct-response business, then licensed that engine to build Checkout Champ for eCommerce. That lineage is why the checkout, the subscription billing, the service desk and the reporting are one system rather than four apps handing data to each other, and it is also why the platform suits direct-response operators more than conventional retail.

Capabilities

What you actually get

01

Funnel and checkout pages

A drag-and-drop builder for landing pages and single-step checkouts, with four-way split testing on any page. Built to load in about a second, which is the number that decides whether paid traffic converts or bounces.

Checkout Champ publishes a 1-second load. It also cites the threshold: 40% of visitors leave a page that takes longer than 3 seconds.

02

Subscription billing

Recurring plans on any frequency, rebill and retry logic, self-service membership management and churn tooling. Its own reviewers rate this the strongest part of the platform, and it is the part that touches your dispute ratio most.

03

Multi-gateway payment routing

Unlimited processors with routing logic across them, and dynamic currency conversion in over 100 currencies. This is the capability we care about most, and section 04 is why.

Order bumps and one-click upsells

Pre-purchase bumps, post-purchase one-click upsells and dynamic offers by product, all with split testing built in. This is the average-order-value lever, which is a different lever from conversion.

Mechanism, not magnitude. Checkout Champ publishes no average lift, and the real number depends entirely on your offer.

05

Multi-store management

Hundreds of stores and thousands of SKUs from one dashboard, with user-defined access per operator. Built for a portfolio of brands rather than a single store, which is also what makes MID segmentation practical.

Headless API

SKUs, subscriptions, memberships, sales and fulfillment exposed over an API, so the billing engine can sit behind a front end you already own and did not want to rebuild.

Our read

Why a payments firm recommends a checkout platform

We do not sell funnel software. We get merchants approved and keep them approved, so the reasons we put clients on Checkout Champ are payment reasons rather than marketing ones.

Routing across processors is redundancy, not a feature
  • A storefront checkout wired to one processor means a single reserve, throttle or termination stops revenue the same day. Routing across gateways and MIDs lets volume move without rebuilding checkout.
Rebill logic is chargeback control
  • Recurring billing is where dispute ratios are made. Visa's VAMP counts disputes against your ratio, and Mastercard's SMMP, effective 24 July 2026, counts refunds as well. Dunning, retry rules and self-service cancellation cut the number of buyers who go to their bank instead of to you.
Multi-store is MID segmentation
  • Running brands on separate MIDs stops one product's dispute ratio from setting the risk profile for the whole portfolio.
Checkout is an authorization-rate lever
  • Currency presentment, routing and payment-method mix all move approval rates, which is stage one of our PSP audit and usually the fastest money on the table.
Where this sits in our work

Checkout Champ is the checkout and billing layer. It does not get you approved, negotiate your rates, or release a rolling reserve. That is PSP Setup, and the two are usually done together: the accounts first, the routing built on top of them.

Fit

Who it is for, and who it is not

Putting a merchant on a performance platform they have no traffic to feed turns a tool into an expense. If you are in the second column, say so and we will tell you.

Worth it
  • Meaningful paid acquisition, where checkout conversion is the constraint
  • Subscription or continuity products
  • More than one MID, or planning to add them
  • Selling into several currencies
  • A portfolio of brands rather than one store
Probably not yet
  • Low order volume, where the platform cost outruns the lift
  • Catalog retail with little or no paid traffic
  • One product, one processor, and no approval-rate problem
  • Nobody on the team to run split tests once it is live
